20 – Peek-adobe

Dear October,

This is the time of year when I start thinking about heading to Albuquerque for a tango festival.

While taking a scenic stroll in the art-filled streets of nearby Santa Fe, I captured a hidden vista of October color.  The desert color swatches glow with rich contrast.

18 – Sepia Sunday

I was looking through some old photographs and found a couple of vintage photos of my parents in their youth driving along the scenic route of imagination.

In this photo my Mom fearlessly maneuvers the jalopy over happy hills and tunnels of imagination with her sisters and armfuls of willing passengers.

Doesn’t this photo beg for a roadtrip adventure?

17 – Sepia Saturday

Dear October,

I was looking through some old photographs and found a couple of vintage photos of my parents in their youth driving along the scenic route of imagination.

In this photo my Dad was an intrepid warrior of the fields as he entertained his cousin. Don’t you you think this photo screams fall harvest of fun?

16 – Mountain

Dear October,

I love the promises in Isaiah.  They are uplifting and cause me to rejoice. I am thankful for the high places that God helps us ascend.  This photo shows a high angle panoramic view which I think symbolizes those moments when “He makes my feet like those of a deer and enables me to walk on mountain heights.” (Hab. 3:19, HCSB)

What title would you give this photo?  CAPTION THIS PHOTO.

14 – Wagon…

Dear October,

Our Creator’s paintbrush painted this scene in a quaint and kind community in Nevada City, California. That vacation was full of vibrant scenes and people.  I snapped the picture of the little yellow wagon because it seemed to be begging, “Hop in! I’ll take you to a pumpkin patch!”  How would you CAPTION THIS PHOTO?

12 – Winding path…

Dear October,

I understand exactly what you described in yesterday’s postcard!  It was just six years ago that I took the scenic route around Lake Tahoe.  Driving around the hairpin curves was not enough.  I needed to get out of the car and bask in the beauty of October, to smell and feel. I cannot describe the splash of peace that wrapped around me as I walked on the footpath.

How does this photo speak to you?  Please, CAPTION THIS PHOTO.

10 – Warm sky

Dear October,

Your latest postcard did warm my spirit.  I captured this photo a few years ago while sitting on the beach with friends.  The dancing embers of the sunset rekindles this fond memory.  How would you CAPTION THIS PHOTO?
