Idea as metaphor…

An idea is a feat of association, and the height of it is a good metaphor.

(Robert Frost)

Thinking…  I teach students how to make connections.  Sometimes their learning surpasses my ability to teach them.   I think I will let this quotation of Robert Frost, a favorite poet of mine, simmer.  In the meantime, if I throw it out to my gifted/talented students, their freshness and originality will astound.  Then I will quote those students whose learning has surpassed my ability to teach them.

Tomorrow is October 1, 2013: the first day of my 31 days of writing.  I do hope that my brain is flush with worthy thought after a good night’s sleep.

While on this journey, I’ll add a link to each new post here as it goes live.
